At TKS, we are committed to ensuring that our curriculum offer goes beyond the academic to also personally develop our students. We want our students to understand their place in society, question the world around them and make safe and responsible decisions. Students experience the teaching of RSHE, Citizenship and careers through a multidisciplinary approach:
-
The study of Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE)as a curriculum offer
-
Form Time Sessions
-
Assemblies
-
Integrated into subject progression grids
Our ‘Personal Development Golden Threads’ run through all of our curriculum areas, ensuring Personal Development is embedded into the teaching and learning across the curriculum. Each subject’s ‘Golden Thread’ relates to concepts which have been formed from the RSHE, Citizenship and careers related policies. You can view how your child progresses in their personal development of each subject area, by viewing the progression girds in our department or year group pages.
